Snic began working with glass at the age of 17 at the Crefeld School in Philadelphia, PA. From there he continued his studies in glass at the Appalachian Center for Crafts in Tennessee studying with Curtis Brock. Snic further advanced his skills at the Corning Museum of Glass Studio for master lampworking studying with Robert Mickelson, Milon Townsend and Ceasar Toffolo. He has also attended the Tom Brown Tracker School in the New Jersey Pine Barrens and P.A.S.T Skills Wilderness School in Montana. There he developed skills in tracking and wilderness survival. Snic has taken part in a co-op lampworking studio in Vermont called the Eleventh Hour. While living in Vermont he also assisted Alan Goldfarb in Goldfarb Studio. From there he moved back to Philadelphia to work as resident artist and instructor at Philadelphia Glass Works. In Philadelphia Snic has continued his own work as well assisting Greg Nangle in bronze casting at Outcast Studios, and working in Philadelphia Industrial Preservation Experiment, a glass blowing studio. In the summer of 2008 Nic traveled to Japan to demo at the Borosilicate Art Expo in Tokyo. While in Tokyo he also taught a workshop at the Lunar Cycle Studio. In 2000 Nic was nominated for the Student Niche Award. His work has also been documented in Contemporary Lampworking Volume 2.
