PS122 Gallery presents recent color photographs by Jessica Hendrix and a site specific installation by Trevor Reese.
Jessica Hendrix will be exhibiting eight large scale color photographs of her hometown, Fredericksburg, Virginia. In these works she explores issues of identity, memory and her ambivalent attitude towards small town life. Through her photographs she comes to terms with the humorous customs and mundane aspects of this familiar place which she learns can be endlessly interesting and inspirational.
Trevor Reese works with modest materials and ephemeral objects to create his installations which explore ideas about potential and possibility. Using familiar, everyday objects he "nurtures coincidence and irrational logic to produce open-ended structures."
