The Project on Creativity: AOL, in celebration of their 25th Anniversary year, is partnering with legendary American artist Chuck Close to launch the Project on Creativity. The project, which kicks off at AOL’s 25th Anniversary year celebration at the New Museum on May 26, will yield portraits photographed by Chuck of the world’s leading innovators and creative visionaries. The photographs that will be unveiled at the New Museum on May 26th are representative of the work that the artist will be doing as part of upcoming campaign for AOL. Furthermore, AOL will be creating a scholarship program entitled “25 for 25”, inspired by Chuck’s focus on philanthropic endeavors in the creative community, that will grant 25 scholarships of $25,000 each, to up and coming creatives throughout 2010. The Project on Creativity will also yield a conference in the later part of 2010.
