Brian St. Cyr’s recent work revolves around the idea of artists’ subject matter and how it can influence both process and product. His work utilizes a variety of mediums-- his range covering sculpture to works on paper-- and incorporates such non-traditional materials as Lipton’s tea bags and pornography. With this approach to art making, St. Cyr endeavors to find meaning and a personal connection within objects and images that have the unique ability to appeal to many people at once.
