This event has ended.

José-Ricardo Presman will be exhibiting his latest installation entitled Silver & Golden at the Amos Eno Gallery. Throughout his artistic career, Presman has generated conceptually based works, which challenge accepted conclusions about the world. He has been a lifelong student of esoteric science, which complements and supersedes the natural science prevalent today that is more appropriate for mid-19th century Western culture, and which has lost much of its validity. For too long, culture has had an unquestioning and resigned acceptance of Kantian epistemology, which approaches questions in a form that guarantees unsatisfactory responses. As a consequence, in the future we will be ridiculed in much the same way we laugh at those in the past who believed in ghosts.

As with his other installations, the titles provide an entryway into a view of the future rarely pondered in ordinary, everyday life. This view sees conditions existing as a direct consequence of our culture’s actions. The two wall pieces would not be complete without a third, synthesizing element; a painting that hints at a denouement..

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, José-Ricardo Presman has had numerous one-man shows at the Amos Eno Gallery, and has exhibited in group shows around the U.S. and Canada.
