Almost all artists seem to love working with 'Stuff'. Whether it is the lure of the practical, or the delight in absurdity, images on objects always amuse or provoke. It’s a wonderful surprise to see who has made useful things. From a Chuck Close tapestry portrait, to a Ray Mortenson photograph on a skateboard deck, a dog portrait on an Anya Hindmarch handbag to Lee Friedlander’s wine labels, and a Damien Hirst ashtray, the work is appealing and delightful.
