"In Translation: How the Nomadic Lives of Contemporary Critics Affect Their Writings" is a free panel open to the public; scheduled in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of AICA-USA followed by a Q&A open to the audience. As the lives of many contemporary critics become increasingly nomadic, their writing faces new challenges. How do critics writing for a Western audience address local and global concerns, esthetic, social and political issues, as well as aspects of art making and production? Moderated by Marek Bartelik and Barbara A. MacAdam, this panel will gather a distinguished group of critics whose writings cover art internationally.
