Anthony titus and Mariah Robertson will exhibit seperate solo presentations.
In Take Better Pictures Mariah Robertson exhibits a series of unique photographs, formed through the accidents and experiments of the printing process, composed in large oversized frames. These works do not present a departure from the personal or representation, but an appreciation and celebration of the immediacy and possibility these two qualities provide.
Titus will exhibit a series of paintings presenting the relationship he has formed between photographic imagery and painting. He is interested in the saturated content of an image and chooses images that he believes emit a sense of emotional blankness or ambivalence. For Titus constructing images is a way of attempting to empathize with others, but he also acknowledges that it creates or requires a high degree of detachment in order to do so.
