This event has ended.

In his second solo exhibition at the gallery, the artist continues to explore self-similar patterns occurring in nature in his urban aerial landscapes. Kinzer focuses on the repetition of shapes and structures across different scales, and creates his own random fractal patterns by integrating collaged road maps with satellite-derived imagery. In his most recent work, he has dialed up the intensity and the intricacy of his compositions. Kinzer sees himself as a modern day Hudson River School painter, “using perspective, magnified scale and dramatic lighting to explore the sublime—the feeling of rapture and awe caused by the beauty and terror of nature.”
