This event has ended.

In the Spring of 2006, German photographer Andrea Diefenbach spent time with several HIV-positive Ukranian men and women in the city of Odessa. As a result of the collapse of the Soviet union, there has been an epic spread of HIV infection in Ukraine. 160,000 people in Odessa are HIV-positive, and recently Ukraine set a sorry record for the highest rate of new infections in Europe. Touched by an article about this crisis in the German newspaper, "Die Zeit," Andrea Diefenbach set out to record its effects and raise awareness of the plight for a larger public.
