This event has ended.

"Chaotica" is the country geographically located in the home, studio and mind of the artist Nancy Lunsford. Incrementally losing faith in life's purpose and planning, Lunsford seeks to order a small corner of life's chaos through paintings , prints, works on paper and memorization of useless information. The work is anchored on traditional geometric patterns of folk art, including Appalachian quilts and patterns found in nature. While methodically cutting and pasting recycled drawings and found objects, the artist internally recites prayers, poems and various senseless incantations to ward off rational thought.
