poster for Group Show

This event has ended.

Sam McKinniss's number one priority these days when making a painting or when circulating through the social set is to fall in love quickly and without moral discernment. Aesthetic taste shall guide any discernment.

Isabelle Rancier is interested in simple geometry to recall places, emotions, and chronology. The intersection of a universal shape and a personal narrative is my goal.

Julia Norton sees the building as a relic, a temple, a manifestation of our desire perhaps to capture this fleeting moment of emotion, memory, time, identity, into a capsule or vessel. The building as an entity, a hyroglyphic of sorts, can be seen as a character in its own right of personal significance. Magnanimous, caring, and selfless, while at the same time guilty of all those sorts of issues we relate to "human behavior"; self conscious, temporary, and at times unreliable.
