This event has ended.

A new exhibition of works by award winning French artist Camille Perrottet uses bitter satire and Victorian erotica to illustrate the artist’s loathing of US politics and politicians. Although other international leaders are included, it is clear from her introductory statement that the Bush administration is the real target of her scorn.

“In the name of religion our so called leaders assassinate men, women, and children every day,” she says. Her art illustrates her bitterness by superimposing pictures of Bush, Rice, Bin Laden and others on her version of compromising Victorian erotica. Her contempt for her subjects is clear in all the works in this exhibition. "The constant questioning and defiance of authority is an important and serious thing, but without a sense of comedy, it is like a flaccid penis with no love,” she states.

The exhibition features 46 acrylic, collage on canvas pieces, a glazed ceramic installation celebrating woman's sexuality and freedom of choice and 2 video installations.
