The Project, Rehearsal to madness is a project that investigates the borders of sanity. Aggregating image and text, the portraits present a unique view of ordinary people and their intimacies.

The Artist, gUi mohallem is a graduate of University of S醇Io Paulo where he specialized in cinematography. gUi has worked as an educator, offering career opportunities to under-privileged youth in Brazil, where he adapted the pinhole technique as a "didactic resource to teach principles about light, photography and the joys of self-discovery."

An Inside Look;
Juan Betancurth is a Colombian born artist based in Brooklyn NY. As a previous subject of gUi's work, he will also be participating at the artist's talk and will give an inside perspective on being a subject of 'rehearsal to madness'.

How to Participate;
If you feel connected to this project, sign up for an interview with the artist and apply for a
photo shoot during the month of October. Those who will take part in the project will receive an 8x12 copy of their picture signed by the artist.

Please join to watch the final 2008 Presidential Debate at 9:00 pm, following the discussions.
