This event has ended.

Bigfoot meets Chihuahuas, Sasquatch and kittens, silhouettes and line drawings, plaques and papers are the simplicities represented in Leo Kesting Gallery’s latest exhibition titled “Cuddly Need Not Apply” which is set to unveil on Thursday September 25th, 2008.

In this collection, Cuddly Need Not Apply, new works are presented from James Turek of Brooklyn, NY, Casey Porn from Raleigh, NC and Lisa Kuppinger from Chicago, IL.

“So much angry art is being made by angsty youth. Is it truly necessary for everyone in this Juxtapoz laced society to adorn their walls with hate and anger?” asks gallery co-director John Leo. “The world is a tough place, yes, but cat pornography is just as important as the dark art which dominates the LA contemporary scene.”

“Mainstream youth art can be the Andre the Giants or whatever Jonathan Levine is showing right now, or it could be Sucky McDucky and Gay Boy Bunny with thier four boobs,” elaborated David Kesting a gallery associate, “We want to give the public a chance to decide.”
