Ethan Cohen Fine Arts is proud to present our new line of unique editions commissioned from today’s top Contemporary Chinese Artists. Yue Minjun, Fang Li jun, Bai Yiluo, Qin Feng and the Luo Brothers are among the first artists that we, in collaboration with Pace Editions, Inc., have been working with to produce these new and highly valued works. Our first preview night will be of the our works with Yue Minjun in the back gallery on the evening of November 7th at 6pm, in conjunction with our front gallery exhibition of the artist Xie Caomin.

Yue Minjun is unquestionably one of the most notable and recognizable contemporary artists in the world today. With Yue Minjun, we have produced a series of eight new and striking images. Titled the “Grassland Series” – four images have been created as screen prints of 26 hand separated colors and four as multiple-block wood cut prints. Each print has been produced in an edition of eighty signed and numbered by Yue Minjun. These editions are available individually or in limited sets of eight and four.

These new images by Yue Minjun have been created especially for this project and are only available in these print editions. Each is singular in their detail and rendered in highly contrasting shades of grey with very subtle casts of muted color - a notable departure from the artist’s usual palette.
