"Boston Color" Exhibition

Kathryn Markel Fine Arts

This event has ended.

Kathryn Markel Fine Arts is pleased to announce an exhibition of seven artists from the Boston area whose use of color is a central aspect of their artistic practice. Each artist uses color to further a formal or psychological conversation with the viewer, and each has a story about why and how they choose a specific color tool to further their intentions. But for all of these artists color is, most importantly, a source of joy. When Kathryn Markel started making studio visits in Boston in the depths of February, the world was dreary and miserable. To walk into an art space filled with color and energy and warmth, was pure pleasure. One does not automatically associate Boston with color, but, during those few days, she did. Hence the impetus for this exhibition.
