The Extra-Sensory Pedestrians join composer/improviser Stephan Moore for an evening of Boxed Dances, an ongoing series of movement poems designed to fit into non-traditional dance venues. "Boxed" refers to the constrained conceptual and physical space that each dance is created within. These pieces seek to thrive inside their limitations, finding liberation in restrictive conditions. Each performance is, by necessity, site-specific and evening-specific; the sequence and spatial arrangement of the movement poems never occurs the same way twice. Movement artists Kimberly Young and Jennifer Schmermund perform with Moore's live sound score heard over the resident 15-channel Hemisphere speaker array at ISSUE.
