Founded in 2007, Smith-Stewart specializes in finding and cultivating new talent while producing a dynamic roster of exhibitions that spans mediums, expands aesthetic convention, and reaches across generations.
In addition to the gallery, Amy Smith-Stewart is an independent curator and art advisor. She has organized more than two-dozen exhibitions in museums and galleries. She was Curator at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center/The Museum of Modern Art, New York from 2001-2005 and in 2006 was a Curatorial Advisor for the Mary Boone Gallery, where she organized three group exhibitions and a solo exhibition of Aleksandra Mir.
