Gallery in The Chelsea 20th area

Nicholas Robinson Gallery is a successor business to Briggs Robinson Gallery after five successful years. The new gallery is located in an 8,000 square foot, newly renovated ground floor premises at 535 West 20th Street in the heart of Chelsea’s contemporary art district.

Nicholas Robinson Gallery is founded upon a need to address the many angles of the swiftly-evolving contemporary art industry and a commitment to exhibiting exciting and radical contemporary art from around the world. The gallery will continue to represent a core group of artists and new emerging talent, incorporating exhibitions of this work into the schedule. It will also buy, sell, and broker blue chip works in specialized sectors of the secondary market, with a further view to include works by these artists in thematically curated gallery exhibitions. In addition, the gallery recognizes an opportunity to work with established or mid-career artists who are seeking new contexts for the display of their work.

The gallery will also consult extensively in the composition and development of its clients’ collections, recognizing that shrewd investment is an attribute than can happily co-exist with aesthetic rigor in any portfolio. To that end, the gallery will buy and sell works on behalf of clients with privacy and discretion, or utilize exemplary contacts at the leading auction houses, if this route will yield the best outcome.
