Museum in The East Chelsea area

The Museum at FIT is dedicated to advancing knowledge of fashion through exhibitions, programs and publications.

Founded in 1967 to support the educational programs of the Fashion Institute of Technology, The Museum at FIT is today one of only a handful of museums in the world devoted to the art of fashion. Best known for its innovative, award-winning exhibitions, the museum also has one of the world's most important collections of fashion and textiles, which it collects, conserves, documents, exhibits, and interprets for the purposes of education and inspiration.
