SHEPHERD & DEROM GALLERIES

Between the years 1998 and 2012 Shepherd Gallery, New York, and Patrick Derom Gallery, Brussels, Shepherd Gallery presented 19th century European paintings, drawings and sculpture, and Patrick Derom pursued his expertise in 20th century art, especially in Symbolism, Surrealism and International Modern Masters. In joint exhibitions we presented an expanded range of European art, hoping to enhance at the same time the perception of art works of the present and last centuries. In January of 2013, Shepherd Gallery formed a new affiliation with the Viennese Gallery, Wienerroither Kohlbacher.

SHEPHERD W & K GALLERIES

The Vienna-based gallery Wienerroither & Kohlbacher specialises in modern art. It is well known for dealing in works on paper and unites the great Austrian artists around 1900 such as Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, Oskar Kokoschka, Alfred Kubin, Koloman Moser and Max Oppenheimer. Furthermore, the gallery offers artworks by international artists such as Lyonel Feininger, George Grosz, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Zoran Music and Emil Nolde and by other Austrian artists, e.g. Alfred Wickenburg and Erika Giovanna Klien.

Wienerroither & Kohlbacher participates in some of the most important international art fairs and salons (such as TEFAF Maastricht, Frieze Masters London …). The gallery is also a lender of museum-quality artworks and cooperates with world-ranking museums like Fondation Beyeler (Basel) and the Albertina and the Belvedere in Vienna.
