Gallery in The Lower East Side area

Founded in October 2005, Jane Kim opened Thrust Projects, a contemporary art gallery on the Bowery between Grand and Hester Streets on the borders of the Lower East Side and Chinatown neighborhoods of New York City.

Thrust represents a program of international artists, many of whom are exhibiting for the first time in New York and the US. Alongside the one-person exhibitions are group shows, thematic or specifically organized by the gallery's artists, that explore the creative tendancies in current contemporary strategies.

Kim's experience includes working in the following professional galleries: Galerie Xippas, Paris (1999-2004); Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac, Paris (1995-1997), and Gagosian Gallery, New York (1994).
