The Soufer Gallery was established in November 1977 under the direction of Mrs. Mahboubeh Soufer, with a focus on French contemporary artists. During the 1980’s the gallery’s emphasis shifted to French Post-Impressionists and German Expressionists. For over twenty years this has been the primary focus of the Gallery, specifically specializing in the work of George Grosz. In addition to Post-Impressionists and Expressionists, the Gallery also has a very strong collection of the French naïve painter, Camille Bombois.
