Anonymous Gallery

Gallery in The Villages area

Add this to my venues

Anonymous Gallery was established September of 2008, in New York’s Lower East Side, with the goal of providing a platform for contemporary art, public art, and community involvement. Since then, the gallery has been committed to presenting work from artists that have significantly influenced today’s popular culture, design and the urban environment. Gallery exhibitions and public projects have featured gallery artists amongst work from artists such as Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Donald Baechler, Jonas Mekas, Keith Haring, Kenny Scharf, Tom Sachs, Agathe Snow, and others.

Capitalizing on the literal meaning on the word “anonymous”, the gallery uses New York City and the world at large as a metaphorical canvas, hosting ground-breaking exhibitions in satellite locations and utilizing each city’s landscape to develop ambitious public art projects.

2011 marked the inauguration of the new permanent gallery location in Mexico City D.F.
