571 Projects is dedicated to promoting dynamic emerging emerging and mid-career artists through rotating single-artist shows. 571 Projects aims to contextualize each artist by presenting a tightly edited, coherent and representative body of work.

Founded in by Sophie Bréchu-West, an alumna of Christie’s Master’s in Contemporary Art and Connoisseurship program, 571 Projects is the latest newcomer to the Chelsea art scene, opening the first show February 4, 2010. Bringing over 10 years’ experience working in the international gallery world between Boston, London and New York City, Brechu-West has freelanced in a variety of capacities in the art world, including as an auctioneer and curator. With 571 Projects, Bréchu-West gives her love and enthusiasm for contemporary art and artists a platform.

The gallery is launching an exhibitions program showcasing selected highly talented emerging and mid-career artists working across all media, and aims to promote them to international contemporary art collectors and museums.
