As Harlem's only multi-cultural, non-profit contemporary arts center, Triple Candie is dedicated to presenting the art and ideas of our time in an environment that is welcoming, educational, and accessible. To this end, Triple Candie strives to:
- Provide Harlem with a professional, large-scale venue for contemporary art and cultural dialogue
- Build a diverse audience, one that values intercultural understanding

Triple Candie produces and curates all its exhibitions and lectures. In general, it does not work with independent curators, except on rare occasions. Only artists living in Harlem may submit unsolicited materials for consideration.
