Founded in Cologne in 1965 by Isabelle Bscher’s grandmother, Antonia Gmurzynska, and relocated to Zurich in 2005, Galerie Gmurzynska has been a leading international art gallery specializing in masterpieces of classic modern and post-war art for more than 50 years. Isabelle Bscher is a third-generation gallery co-owner with her mother Krystyna Gmurzynska.

They are the foremost gallery worldwide for artists of the Russian avant-garde and early 20th-century abstraction.

Known for its museum quality and uniquely curated exhibitions, Galerie Gmurzynska has hosted over 150 shows in its various premises and published over 200 art historical catalogues and catalogue raisonné in close collaboration with experts worldwide. Moreover, the gallery has represented the estates of some of the world’s greatest artists such as Yves Klein, Louise Nevelson, Wifredo Lam, and Roberto Matta, in some cases for several generations.
