The Assembly Room

Gallery in The Lower Manhattan area

Add this to my venues

The Assembly Room is a gallery and performance space curated and run by performance artists Amanda Curtis and Brendan Coyle. The “assembly” originally coalesced around the bothered angry sores of unfortunate circumstances, dire needs for purposefulness, and a last dash hope for the creation of something that works amidst a prevalent and systematic frustration of natural life. All the times are assembled here, all the cults are referenced and made fun of, the clothing worn is irreverent and taken from the bottom of the hamper. To assemble and air greivances is at least permitted.
