Magen H. Gallery

Gallery in The Villages area

Add this to my venues

International in scope, Magen H. Gallery, founded in 1997 by Hugues and April Magen, is widely recognized as being at the forefront of conceptual twentieth-century design. Known for championing innovators in sculpture, decorative arts, architecture, and ceramics, it advances the artistic dialogue between historically significant works by pre-eminent post-war French icons and those of contemporary American designers who visually articulate a resonant personal philosophy. This group, representing the “Art et Industrie” movement, was among the first to create limited editions and one-offs as an integral expression of the concept that unique and singular works are the purest representation of art. The Gallery showcases objects in a variety of crafts mediums (clay, metal, wood, silicon, and aluminum), which transcend form and function. Widely recognized as the leading source for pieces by pre-eminent French post-war artists, Magen H. Gallery features works by François Stahly, Pierre Székely, André Borderie, Serge Mouille, among others.
