The J. Vandervoort Werkhaus is a unique artist-run organization devoted to promoting progressive and challenging work in the visual arts. The Werkhaus is in part an attempt to carve out an alternative venue for artists working outside of the established gallery system, with a focus on curation and the presentation of rigorous and provocative new work.
