Masters & Pelavin

Gallery in The Lower Manhattan area

The gallery was originally founded in 1981 as Cheryl Pelavin Fine Arts and re-opened by co-owners Cheryl Pelavin and Todd Masters in 2010 as Pelavin Gallery and in 2011 renamed Masters & Pelavin. The gallery's concentration is the representation of emerging and mid-career artists working in a wide variety of media, including: painting, drawing, sculpture and photography.
Pelavin Gallery stands as one of the contemporary art world's unique institutions. For twenty nine years, the gallery has introduced numerous emerging artists whose work has later been exhibited widely in museum and gallery contexts and have been regularly included in international exhibitions.

Cheryl Pelavin is a master printmaker and has worked hand in hand with artists throughout her career—Many of the artists we currently represent started to work with Cheryl Pelavin in 1983. Todd Masters has worked with several New York galleries, including Adelson Galleries, a gallery that specializes in 19th and 20th century American Impressionism as well as contemporary art.
