Greene Contemporary represents emerging artists and mid-career artists. Greene Contemporary looks globally for art that represents the most interesting contemporary art being made today. The gallery searches for artists who have a proven commitment and dedication to making art. Greene looks for artists who participate in the dialogue about what defines contemporary art. The gallery artists work in a variety of media including painting, sculpture, drawing, sculpture, photography and video. Greene Contemporary also participates in art fairs across the world. Greene Contemporary opened in Sarasota, Florida in March 2006. The gallery in Sarasota closed in March 2008 in preparation for the move to New York. Greene Contemporary is pleased to be open in its new gallery space now.
