This event has ended.

Selenas Mountain presents Liminal Fictions, the first New York solo exhibition of Chicago-based conceptual artist, Dabin Ahn. The artist will present a site-specific installation of new sculptures referencing the interior corridors of the warehouse building where Selenas Mountain is located. Using a range of cast and constructed objects, the artist plays with the trickery of images and materials, questioning notions of authenticity and value in art.

The exhibition title, Liminal Fictions comes from a notion of “in-betweenness” manifested in the fields of psychology and architecture. Liminality is a term used to describe the psychological process of transitioning across boundaries and borders. In architecture, liminal spaces are defined as the physical spaces between one destination and the next.
