Ends in 25 days

A solo exhibition of works by the acclaimed Mumbai-based artist Manish Nai (b. 1980), in collaboration with Kavi Gupta Gallery, an established contemporary art gallery in Chicago.

Manish Nai was born in Gujarat and currently works and lives in Mumbai. His work is held in numerous prestigious private and public international collections at MAP Museum, Banglore; Kasturbhai Lalbhai Museum, Ahemdabad; Kiran Nadar Museum, Delhi; Devi Art Foundation, Delhi; Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit, US; Zabludowicz Collection, London.

FORM AND VOID surveys over 5 years of diverse facets of Nai’s transdisciplinary practice. This exhibition seeks to explore the formal and conceptual balance between absence and presence. Embedded in Nai’s work are distinct cultural narratives such as social, historical, and economic pressures, yet there is an aspirational, transcendent universality to the work’s disciplined minimalism.
