Foxy Production presents Sparrow Dust, Steve Reinke’s inaugural solo exhibition at the gallery. Reinke is an artist and writer best known for his monologue-based video essays. He presents his new video, Father, Limping Through a Field of Clover (2021), a montage of vintage amateur films with a humorous, surreal voice-over; a collection of text-based works on paper that appear like absurdist protest signs; a series of colorful, semi-abstract needlepoints; and his video from 2004, Anthology of American Folk Song, that poetically figures the male body as a site of both desire and trauma.
