Perrotin New York presents The Holy Third Gender: Kinnar Sadhu, the first solo exhibition of New York-based, French photographer and cinematographer Guillaume Ziccarelli, with new works. Central to this exhibition is a short documentary film that explores the sacred Kumbh Mela festival. The Hindu festival takes place every twelve years across four sites, and the 2019 iteration marked the first year transgender Sadhus, holy, religious ascetics in Hindu and Jain tradition, were admitted to participate.
