For “Eye to Eye: Untraditional Voices,” collector John L. Thomson toured the Academy studios and selected 11 works by second-year MFA students. Each student was invited to choose a piece from Thomson’s extensive contemporary art collection to show alongside their own. “Eye to Eye: Untraditional Voices” presents works from the 11 student artists side by side with legends such as Peter Saul, Dana Schutz, Red Grooms and Larry Rivers in a dialogue about artistic influence and comparative value in the art world.
