This event has ended.

Simon Carr’s recent paintings and drawings bring exuberant life to scenes of New York City and his family’s upstate farm. Working large-scale, the artist mixes sand into acrylic paint to build up evocatively textured surfaces. For the first time he is also exhibiting watercolors produced in New York and London.
The artist concentrates on the people in these various environments, striving to find a sense of community, of sense of “Being” that is greater than the sum of individual actions. A 50-page catalogue, featuring an essay by Martica Sawin and her interview with the artist, accompanies the exhibition.
