This event has ended.

Fritz Ascher: Expressionist presents works by this German Jewish artist, who lived through the Weimar Republic, the Nazi regime, and into the postwar years. Organized by the Fritz Ascher Society for Persecuted, Ostracized and Banned Art, Inc., the exhibition comprises some 75 paintings and works on paper, ranging from early academic studies and figural compositions to the artist’s late colorful, mystical landscapes devoid of human presence.

Metamorphoses: Ovid According to Wally Reinhardt is the largest solo museum exhibition of this New York-based octogenarian artist. Since the 1980s, Reinhardt has exclusively depicted scenes from Ovid’s Metamorphoses, creating vivid, whimsical illustrations in colored pencil, watercolor, and gouache that recount the Roman poet’s time-honored myths. Metamorphoses features some 50 scenes from the series comprising more than 200 works, and will be accompanied by an illustrated catalogue.
