This event has ended.

Tenri Cultural Institute presents a new exhibition by Shizuko Sawada.

Sawada is one of the most unique tapestry artists based in Japan. Prior to making tapestries, she learned a method called plant dyeing. Her tapestries are made of threads that she dyes using flowers or branches. Most of her tapestries depict scenes from nature such as cherry blossom trees and cranes. This exhibition includes tapestries, scarves, and other fabric products shown previously in other countries such as France and Germany.
