Blue Mountain Gallery presents its Winter Juried Show featuring 46 artists from all over the United States. The juror, Elisa Jensen, selected pieces in a range of styles from over eight hundred entries.

ELISA JENSEN is a prominent American painter and exhibits widely, in the US and Denmark. She is also a curator of exhibitions and she teaches at the New York Studio School where she is head of the Painting Atelier. Her numerous awards include a New York State Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, a National Academy Prize for Painting, an award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and a Revson Foundation Fellowship. In Manhattan, she has exhibited at the Edward Thorp Gallery, Elizabeth Harris, Leslie Heller, Kimmel Gallery of New York University, Painting Center, the New York Studio School and the Royal Danish Consulate General. She has also shown in Brooklyn at David and Schweitzer Contemporary and the Sideshow Galleries, the John Davis Gallery in Hudson, NY; the Icehouse and Perimeter Galleries in Illinois; and the Morsø Kunstforening and the Sophienholm Museum in Denmark. In 2018, she curated two group exhibitions at the Green Door Gallery and the former Repetti Gallery. Articles about her work have been published in The New York Times, The New York Sun, New York Daily News, Artcritical, Hyperallergic, Tilted-Arc.com, Two Coats of Paint, Whitehot Magazine, Artinterviewsny, and Artefuse. Jensen was one of the inaugural group of artists to work in the “World Views” program at the World Trade Center, sponsored by the Manhattan Cultural Council, and is included in the publication Site Matters about the program artists. Jensen will be present at the opening reception on January 5.
