Onishi Gallery presents EMPIRE by a New York based photographer Jonathan Colton. Inspired by Kawase Hasui, a Japanese woodblock print artist, Ansel Adams and Alfred Stieglitz, Jonathan strives to capture the beauties of everyday life, scenes that many of us are too busy to take a second to appreciate. He has been successfully capturing the mesmerizing skyline of New York City, an image that is both classic yet forever evolving using vintage, 30+ year old lenses. He hopes the audience will be able to share his sense of joy and wonder as he gazes upon the Manhattan Skyline every evening from his residence.
