The German term wirrwarr is untranslatable. Its onomatopoeic meaning is something akin to chaos, but a specific kind of chaos—an assemblage of chaos, perhaps, still salvageable. This exhibition embraces wirrwarr as a creative methodology, celebrates the utility and expressive qualities of unexpected materials, and dives into the beauty of entropy. Each work makes reference to the body and our physical realm, while sometimes also crossing into a metaphysical dimension.
