Color, light, spatial illusion.

The vocabulary of the abstract.

Desire.

Rag, brush, and knife. Tools of both creation and destruction.

Translating a vision into a painting decision.

Intelligence, emotion, and memory.

Inheritance.

A painting ends when it dries.
