Each year, the Academy selects three outstanding graduates of its MFA program as Chubb Fellows. The fellowship, sponsored by Chubb, is the highest honor the Academy bestows. The Fellows receive studio accommodations, a year-end exhibit and a generous stipend. This year’s three Chubb Fellows, Shiqing Deng (b. 1994, China), Erin Pollock (b. 1982, Alaska) and Atalanta Xanthe (b. 1996, United Kingdom) all received an MFA at the Academy in 2018 and have exhibited in group and solo shows in New York, London, Beijing, Seattle and Florence. The 2019 Chubb Fellows are the first all-female group of recipients in the award’s history.
