Escape. Everyone desires escape–an escape from political struggle, financial pressure, social routine. Today, we have more places to escape than ever. We escape to our phones, to social media, to films and TV. The more we try to evade realty, the harder it is to avoid. Beyond our imagination we have no place to escape.

In A Different World, artists of color use traditional and new media to create alternate universes that examine and revel in contemporary visual culture, and simultaneously bring us into deeper consideration of current realities. The exhibition is an immersive selection of art including photography, film, video games, painting, and illustration.
