ACA Galleries presents Faith Ringgold: The 70s, a solo exhibition featuring Ringgold’s soft sculpture, tankas, political posters and abstractions. Much of this body of work has never been exhibited before. Known for her oil paintings from the 1960s and her narrative story quilts, this exhibition explores a decade of work that reflects Ringgold’s political activism and her personal story within the context of the women’s movement.
Faith Ringgold, born 1930 in Harlem, is an artist, writer, activist and teacher. She is a role model for artists and scholars, and continues to influence and inspire others.
