“Tracking the Curve” Exhibition

The New York Studio School

poster for “Tracking the Curve” Exhibition

This event has ended.

Tracking the Curve showcases works created during Graham Nickson’s Drawing Marathon based on establishing the closest point to the artist’s eye, then trying to understand the complex space that emanated from that. With paper, paint, and charcoal, the students created drawings from life on the convex surface of umbrellas. These works represent the bold way of thinking of the New York Studio School, the inventiveness of drawing, and the experimental philosophy of the legendary Drawing Marathons.

The umbrella works will be on display in the New York Studio School Student Gallery.
