[Art & Soul Opens At Prince Street Gallery, New York, New York] Every artist dips her brush into her own soul and psyche to create unique images and objects. Making art is the expression of a free soul taking that leap into the dark of the unknown to find a personal song. When we experience a work of art, we live inside the artist’s head. We become Cezanne or Agnes Martin, just as when we read Yeats, we become the poet himself.
“Art & Soul” is an inspired exhibition by 30 women painters, and sculptors, all members of the New York Society of Women Artists.
The Prince Street exhibition takes many visual forms from exuberant abstractions to vibrant geometric color field painting, poetic landscapes, conceptual pieces and installation works. One experiences harmony, excitement and contemplation with this handsome and provocative exhibition.
